Maine’s STEM Pilot Project provides resources and support for vocational programs and innovative training programs in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for educators and students in the school districts in Franklin and Somerset counties.

The STEM Pilot Project's goal is to…

• Enhance educational programming for students in all grade levels through collaboration and mentorship

• Create and build connections with local employers, organizations, postsecondary opportunities, and area resources

• Establish work-based learning opportunities in Franklin and Somerset counties.

This initiative provides a unique opportunity to pilot efforts to connect students in Franklin and Somerset counties with career exploration programming and create connections to businesses and postsecondary opportunities while serving to advance the State Economic Development Strategy’s Career Exploration Program.
