EqualityMaine’s mission is to protect and advance full equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Mainers by creating an inclusive and intersectional movement through political action, community building, education, engagement, and collaboration.

The Mabel Wadsworth Center is the only not-for-profit, private, independent feminist health center in Maine. They have a variety of health services that include gender affirming hormone therapy.

MaineTransNet is a community-based organization led by transgender people for transgender people. They provide peer-to-peer support groups, social and community events, advocacy for the transgender community across Maine, and transgender cultural competency training for medical, mental health, and social service providers.

OUT Maine works to create more welcoming and affirming communities for Maine’s diverse queer youth. They take a statewide, three-pronged approach: support LGBTQ+ youth and their families and allies; empower the youth to be their most authentic, resilient selves; and educate the professionals who change young people’s lives through their support.
