Buenas Opiniones scholarship for graduating Latino high school seniors or currently enrolled college undergraduate or graduate students. The award is $2,500 per year for up to four years. Available twice per year.

Diabetes Scholars Foundation - The Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s college scholarship program is available to incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes and who are US citizens or permanent residents seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who have high academic performance, are actively involved in the diabetes community, participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need.

ENTELEC's Wayne Black Scholarship - To be eligible for consideration, the Applicant must be a currently enrolled full- time undergraduate student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Horatio Alger Association The Horatio Alger Association will accept applications from individuals up to 30 years old who have high school diplomas or equivalency documentation. The programs can be anything from a six week cert to a two year associates degree and the award is for $2,500.

Jackson Laboratory College Scholarship Program - Must be nominated by a teacher. Applications run October 1-February 1 for the following year.

Joseph B. Ezhaya Scholarship – Emphasis on citizenship and community service. Student must be planning to attend a college in New England. Offered by the Mid Maine Chamber of Commerce in Waterville. See website for deadline.

Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies at colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 are awarded on a competitive basis for one academic year.

Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps Scholarship - $500-$1,000 award. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a course of study in a police, fire or emergency medical service (EMS) program at an accredited college, university or vocational technical school.

Mitchell Scholars Program - The Mitchell Institute awards a four-year scholarship to a graduating student from every public high school in Maine each year. Selection criteria include academic promise, community impact, and financial need. The application is open from January 1 to April 1 each year.

NOAA Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings (Hollings) scholarship program is designed to increase undergraduate training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education and foster multidisciplinary training opportunities.
