Career Development Conference (CDC)

The exclamation point on a great year!

The Career Development Conference, or CDC, is held annually in spring and celebrates the accomplishments of JMG seniors as they get ready to graduate from high school and take the next step into post-secondary education or careers.

During this event, more than 600 seniors and selected juniors from across the state gather at a centrally located conference facility to take part in competitions that measure their skills in interviewing, job preparedness, teamwork, communications, and leadership.

They also have a chance to showcase their accomplishments over the past year in the Career Association Marketplace, to win educational scholarships and to network with professionals from Maine's business and college community in the Career and College Expo.

In light of the state-wide school closings and ongoing efforts to ensure the health and safety of our students and their families, our staff and all of our volunteers, we have decided to cancel the March 31, 2020 Career Development Conference at Thomas College.  The next Career Development Conference will be held in Spring 2021. If you are interested in volunteering as a competition judge, please contact Staci Beal at [email protected] or call 207-620-7180.
